Privacy Policy

Meme Album processes account data to provide sign-in and limited access records for security and service reliability.

Data and purposes

We process email, nickname and a one-way password hash for account access. Likes, reports and uploads are associated with an account for service operation and abuse prevention.

Visitor and usage statistics

For daily and cumulative visitor counts, we use a random anonymous browser identifier. The original identifier is not stored on the server; it is one-way processed. Bots are excluded, while administrator visits are included in the visitor counter. Identifier-linked visit records are removed on a 400-day basis, and cumulative totals are retained without identifiers.

The site market is determined from the request host. Search success or no result, detail opens, download clicks, adding to the default collection, opening a personal or shared collection, completed creation, sharing and copied links are stored only as daily totals by market and fixed action type. Raw search terms, meme or collection IDs and names, shared URLs, titles, recipients, accounts, IP addresses and browser identifiers are not stored in these usage-event totals. A download count is a click, not proof that a file was saved; a share count is a successful share action or copied link, not a recipient visit.

Existing anonymous visit records are used to count browsers that return to the same market after one or seven days. Visit identifiers are not linked to usage-event totals. This is not a new-user retention rate or a count of people.

Retention and deletion

Sessions expire after at most 30 days. Members can close their account; account, session, like, collection and report records are deleted. Information subject to a legal retention duty is removed after that period.

Cookies and third parties

Essential cookies support sign-in and duplicate visitor counting. If advertising is enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies under its own policy.
